TL;DR
Schedule Analyst (Mid-Senior) (Defense Program Scheduling): Analyzing Integrated Master Schedules and large-scale DoD space acquisition programs with an accent on critical path development, schedule risk assessment, earned value management, and forecasting. Focus on stress-testing schedules, evaluating progress against baselines, incorporating risks, and presenting schedule assessments to government personnel and prime contractors.

Location: On-site in Colorado Springs, Colorado; U.S. citizenship is required.

Salary: $65,000–$120,000 per year, depending on education and experience.

What you will do

  • Review Integrated Master Schedules and identify opportunities to condense or simplify schedule detail.
  • Develop critical paths and generate summary schedule views for presentations.
  • Stress-test schedules and assess schedule robustness.
  • Perform schedule risk assessments, critical path analysis, and actual-versus-baseline duration analysis.
  • Evaluate schedule progress, contractor reports, confidence levels, forecasts, and earned value performance.
  • Interface daily with government personnel and prime contractors.

Requirements

  • At least five years of experience supporting space programs and defense programs.
  • Solid Department of Defense schedule management experience and proficiency in system-level schedule analysis, schedule assessments, and reports or presentations.
  • Working knowledge of DoD acquisition scheduling, schedule management, and earned value management guidelines.
  • At least five years of experience with Microsoft Project and proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in mathematics, engineering, business, or the sciences.
  • Secret security clearance and eligibility for Top Secret clearance are required.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with MS Project, Milestones Professional, and government programs.
  • Experience with schedule estimating, confidence-level substantiation, schedule prediction analysis, and project forecasting.
