Senior Maintenance Technician – Utilities – Day Shift (Biotech)

Location: Holly Springs, North Carolina, United States; onsite. Rotating day shift on a 2-2-3 schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., with on-call coverage that may include nights, weekends, and holidays.

Salary: $83,593.25–$113,096.75 USD annually, plus competitive total rewards.

What you will do

• Provide technical expertise and guidance during plant utility start-up and daily operations.
• Install, troubleshoot, maintain, repair, test, and document process and utility equipment.
• Maintain utility systems including steam, chilled water, compressed air, cooling towers, heating hot water, clean steam, WFI, process cooling water, process gases, HVAC, cold rooms, freezers, and environmental control units.
• Perform inspections, equipment overhauls, pump and valve rebuilds or replacements, HVAC repairs, and piping modifications.
• Coordinate with maintenance service providers, equipment vendors, operators, and stakeholders while minimizing production impact.
• Identify workflow improvements, support implementation, and represent Utilities Maintenance in meetings with management and peers.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED plus 2 years of utility operations or maintenance experience, or an associate’s degree plus 6 months of relevant experience.
• 5+ years of utility operations and mechanical maintenance experience is preferred, particularly with chillers, boilers, cooling towers, and air compressors.
• 3+ years of experience with pneumatic, mechanical, and hydraulic systems is preferred.
• Experience in a cGMP or other highly regulated environment and with computerized maintenance management systems is preferred.
• Ability to interpret P&IDs, work independently, communicate task status clearly, and collaborate constructively.
• Ability to work onsite in Holly Springs and participate in rotating on-call coverage.
