Electrical Engineering Intern (AI)

Location: On-site in Dallas, Texas; Seattle, Washington; San Diego, California; or Boston, Massachusetts, United States.

Salary: $38–$73 per hour, determined by academic level.

What you will do

• Gather requirements, design, and validate avionics assemblies and test fixtures.
• Design electrical systems covering power electronics, communications, RF, and related disciplines.
• Build test stands and fixtures using relays, PLCs, PCBAs, harnesses, and electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Use Python to automate test sequences, perform analysis, and run simulations.
• Participate in cross-functional design reviews and advocate for simpler manufacturing processes.

Requirements

• Be an undergraduate, graduate, or PhD student pursuing Electrical Engineering or a related STEM degree.
• Understand fundamental concepts in electrical and mechanical engineering, programming, physics, and mathematics.
• Have experience with multidisciplinary hardware development projects through internships, employment, clubs, teams, or personal projects.
• Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication, ownership of project outcomes, and consistent delivery of high-quality results.
• Be available to start on either June 2 or June 23, 2027, and work on-site during one of the 10–12-week internship sessions.

Nice to have

• Expected graduation in December 2027 or Spring 2028.
• Experience with PCB schematic and layout tools such as Altium, KiCAD, or Eagle.
• Experience with Python or another scripting language.
• Experience with CAD tools such as SolidWorks, NX, or CATIA.
• Adaptability and the ability to innovate under pressure.
