Master Equipment Maintenance & Preventative Maintenance Technician

Location: Batu Kawan, Penang, Malaysia; onsite at the Penang SDSM Office

What you will do

• Provide shift support for continuous production and maintain equipment performance against uptime, yield, cost, utilization, and cycle-time targets.
• Monitor and report online machine status and issues to Equipment Engineering leadership and engineers.
• Perform line conversions and complete FAI activities.
• Maintain and troubleshoot SMT machines, including NXT, DEK, BTU, AOI, Asymtek, V510, VCO, and RBM equipment.
• Support downtime reduction, utilization improvements, and MTBA/MTBF initiatives.
• Follow up on improvement projects, train operators, and manage spare-parts replacement and tracking records.

Requirements

• Experience in semiconductor manufacturing and maintenance or troubleshooting of SMT equipment.
• Familiarity with mechanical equipment, processes, machine alarms, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with machine and tooling preventive maintenance.
• Ability to check shift machine status, perform conversions, generate reports, and analyze machine alarms.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to communicate and write in English.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and root cause analysis.
