Test Maintenance Technician (Semiconductor)

Location: Kulim, Malaysia; onsite with no remote work

What you will do

• Perform daily, monthly, and three- or six-month preventive maintenance on ATE testers, handlers, and contactors.
• Clean and replace consumable parts, including contactor pins, sockets, and indexers.
• Calibrate test-system instruments such as voltage sources, digital pins, and parametric measurement units.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, thermal, and software-related issues in test cells.
• Support Test Engineers with failure correlation, data collection, failure analysis, and root-cause investigations.
• Maintain test documentation and collaborate with Engineers on process improvements and yield issues.

Requirements

• Diploma in Electronic Engineering or Mechatronic Engineering.
• Strong understanding of electronics and mechanical systems.
• Experience supporting high-volume, high-mix manufacturing environments.
• Strong data analysis, problem-solving, troubleshooting, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced production environment.
• Ability to work onsite in Kulim, Malaysia; remote work is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience with ATE platforms such as UltraFLEX, V93K, or T2000.
• Experience with Class/Tape Handlers such as EPSON, JHT, or Vitrox.
• Familiarity with handler and prober mechanics and thermal control systems.
• Ability to read and interpret datasheets, test limits, and schematics.
