Assembly Equipment & Maintenance Engineer (Semiconductor)

Location: Telok Panglima Garang, Malaysia; onsite with no remote work available

What you will do

• Maintain and improve semiconductor assembly equipment stability, uptime, reliability, and OEE performance.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
• Analyze equipment and production data to improve OEE and manufacturing efficiency.
• Identify and implement automation, digitalization, and Robotic Process Automation solutions.
• Support equipment installation, qualification, maintenance, documentation, and engineering projects.
• Collaborate with Production, Process, and Quality teams to ensure smooth manufacturing operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Semiconductor Technology, or an equivalent engineering field.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and automation systems.
• Understanding of OEE, preventive maintenance, and problem-solving methodologies.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a proactive, hands-on approach.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• One to two years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, equipment engineering, or maintenance is advantageous; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

Nice to have

• Exposure to PLC, robotics, machine vision, Python, Power BI, VBA, or RPA tools.
• Interest in automation, Industry 4.0, and smart manufacturing.
