Cyber Systems Engineer IV - ISSE (Cybersecurity)

Location: Westfields, Virginia; no remote or telework allowed. Customer core hours are 09:00–15:00, Monday through Friday.

Salary: $115,575.93–$200,964.12 per year.

What you will do

• Collaborate with stakeholders and system development teams to ensure assets meet Risk Management Framework and network security standards.
• Develop technical requirements and identify project-specific and additional security requirements.
• Review new hardware and software systems, participate in network design reviews, and support security testing.
• Provide RMF and Assessment and Authorization guidance to system owners to support accreditation success.
• Prepare security papers, presentations, recommendations, findings, and status updates for government stakeholders.
• Support information assurance readiness reviews, audits, vulnerability management, and cyber defense activities.

Requirements

• BS with 8–10 years of experience, MS with 6–8 years, or Ph.D. with 3–5 years.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret/SCI clearance with polygraph.
• Ability to support customer core hours from 09:00 to 15:00, Monday through Friday.
• DoD 8570/8140 cybersecurity certification.
• Experience with Zero Trust, STIG compliance auditing, network engineering, security assessment tools, network security, and RMF.
• Experience with ACAS, eMASS, POA&M management, NIST RMF, and information assurance audit preparation.

Nice to have

• Cloud security and continuous monitoring experience.
• Systems engineering experience covering configuration management, requirements writing, architecture, and interfaces.
• Experience briefing senior customer personnel and supporting IC or DoD cybersecurity programs.
• Familiarity with Enterprise Cross Domain Solutions and the customer’s infrastructure and information assurance processes.
