Community Lead (AI)

Location: Remote (US); the ideal candidate is based in the Bay Area or able to travel regularly for events.

What you will do

• Own hirify.global's Discord community, including events, giveaways, challenges, engagement, and day-to-day stewardship.
• Design and scale contributor, recognition, ambassador, and moderator programs.
• Recruit, onboard, support, and equip a community moderator team.
• Build automations that surface community sentiment, trends, feedback, and signals at scale.
• Develop playbooks and resources for community-led events across cities, while extending community activity to Twitter/X, Reddit, and other social channels.
• Turn feedback, bug reports, and sentiment into actionable insights for engineering, product, and design, and close the loop with the community.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in community management, developer communities, or a closely related role.
• Experience running Discord or similar communities at meaningful scale, including events, programs, and moderation.
• Hands-on experience building with LLMs and their APIs, including shipped projects and the ability to discuss model tradeoffs, harnesses, and techniques with developers.
• Strong written communication across Discord, Twitter/X, and Reddit, with a natural and human voice.
• Experience designing contributor, ambassador, or moderator programs and running online events, hackathons, giveaways, or community challenges.
• Self-directed, entrepreneurial, publicly visible, and able to build scalable programs and systems independently.

Nice to have

• Experience building lightweight tooling for community listening and sentiment tracking.
• Experience scaling in-person community events and meetups across cities or regions.
• Familiarity with hirify.global as a user.
• Experience creating developer-focused threads, clips, memes, or recaps.
