Human Resources Intern - Summer 2027 (Healthcare)

Location: Northfield, Illinois, United States; onsite internship in one of four Chicagoland corporate offices

Salary: $23.25–$33.75 per hour

What you will do

• Assess and improve touchpoints across the employee lifecycle.
• Support talent profiles, succession planning materials, career pathing frameworks, and career progression models.
• Assist HR Business Partners with employee relations, performance management, and organizational change initiatives.
• Analyze employee feedback and present actionable insights to HR leadership.
• Support HR communications, intranet content, talent acquisition, resume screening, and onboarding and offboarding coordination.
• Contribute to employee engagement and belonging initiatives and research HR practices, trends, and benchmarking data.

Requirements

• Junior standing in an undergraduate program; Human Resources, Business, Social Sciences, or a related major.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA preferred.
• Strong organizational, planning, communication, follow-up, presentation, strategic, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Bias toward action and results-oriented approach.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Unrestricted permanent US work authorization required.
