Technical Director-Data Enablement (AWS/Snowflake)

Location: Boston, Massachusetts, United States; in-office collaboration at least four days per week, with up to one day working from home. Applicants must already have valid U.S. work authorization and must not require current or future visa sponsorship.

Base salary: $172,500–$237,200 per year, plus potential variable compensation and benefits.

What you will do

• Define and execute an enterprise data enablement strategy, including standards for data products, ownership, contracts, metadata, quality metrics, SLAs, lifecycle management, and stewardship.
• Drive domain-oriented data delivery across ABOR, IBOR, performance and attribution, holdings, transactions, benchmarks, and reference data.
• Enable scalable data products on AWS- and Snowflake-based lakehouse architectures for analytics, AI/ML, regulatory, and client-facing use cases.
• Promote self-service data discovery, usability, governance, adoption, and trusted reuse across the organization.
• Lead and develop senior data enablement and data product leaders while establishing effective collaboration models across domains, platforms, architecture, and consumers.
• Own roadmaps, budgets, vendor strategies, delivery practices, operational excellence, and measurable value realization for data enablement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, MIS, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in technology and/or software development, including 5–7+ years managing highly technical teams and complex initiatives.
• 2–3+ years of experience in strategy planning and execution, plus 3–5+ years planning and managing departmental or project budgets.
• 3–5+ years in a data enablement or data product leadership role within asset management or financial services.
• 3–5+ years of hands-on experience with cloud-native data technologies, including AWS data pipelines and Snowflake analytics platforms.
• Valid U.S. work authorization without current or future visa sponsorship requirements.

Nice to have

• 15+ years of experience in data, analytics, or data product leadership.
• Deep expertise in asset-management data domains and front-, middle-, and back-office data flows.
• Experience designing enterprise-scale data ecosystems, reusable data patterns, lakehouse architectures, and data intelligence or governance platforms.
• Strong communication, product orientation, stakeholder management, and experience delivering complex initiatives with internal teams and vendor partners.
