Salary: $166,067.99–$194,682.84 per year

What you will do
- Design and analyze DC/DC power converters, filters, control circuitry, and related hardware for spaceflight and high-reliability applications.
- Model and simulate circuit and system performance using analytical tools such as Symetrix, Simplis, Ansys Maxwell, Mathcad, or equivalent software.
- Develop radiation-tolerant discrete analog control circuitry and investigate new power-conversion topologies and control approaches.
- Integrate, test, and develop DC power-conversion hardware, including test procedures, fixtures, and software.
- Translate customer and market specifications into design requirements and create documentation for prototype and production releases.
- Lead or mentor engineers, collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Suppliers, and Customers, and serve as a technical interface in customer meetings.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in microelectronic DC/DC power conversion and control-system design, including radiation effects on components and circuits.
- Experience designing high-reliability hardware from concept through product delivery.
- Knowledge of complex DC/DC topologies, discrete analog circuits, temperature-compensating circuits, radiation-tolerant components, reference compensators, magnetic design, and planar magnetics.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; a master’s degree or PhD is preferred.
- Excellent documentation, organization, time-management, communication, project-leadership, and mentoring skills.
