Electrical Engineer (Space Power Electronics)

What you will do

• Design, analyze, and test DC-DC power converters for space applications.
• Own the design, manufacturing, and testing of power circuitry for highly integrated PCBAs.
• Develop electrical power system and subsystem requirements and perform design trade studies.
• Define and execute electrical power system verification testing and analysis.
• Collaborate with software, RF hardware, FPGA, and production engineers from initial design through vehicle integration.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics, or another STEM discipline.
• At least 3 years of professional experience designing power circuitry.
• Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout using Altium Designer or a similar tool.
• Experience modeling, simulating, testing, designing, and debugging power electronics and power converters.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful U.S. permanent resident, protected individual, or eligible to obtain the authorizations required under ITAR.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
• Experience with FMEA and complex power-tree sequencing requirements.
• Hands-on impedance and loop-gain measurement experience.
• Experience with voltage-mode and current-mode control and compensation design.
• Familiarity with DC-DC converter topologies and spacecraft electrical power systems.
