What you will do

• Lead the design and implementation of clinical and population-based research studies, including methodology reviews, protocol development, data collection instruments, and quality control procedures.
• Initiate and conduct independent research on biobehavioral health outcomes for survivors of pediatric catastrophic diseases.
• Oversee multiple concurrent projects, study operations, participant engagement, informed consent, data entry, and procurement of medical records and specimens.
• Coordinate communication with principal investigators and research staff across multiple sites.
• Analyze and reduce research data, prepare manuscripts and reports, and present findings to multidisciplinary audiences.
• Manage and instruct research staff, including scheduling, training, guidance, and coverage coordination.

Requirements

• MD or PhD in a relevant scientific field.
• At least 2 years of relevant and productive research experience in clinical or population-based outcomes and health behavior research.
• Experience with study design methodology, protocol development, study conduct, and analysis.
• Knowledge of human subjects protections, event reporting, data safety and monitoring requirements, and research safety regulations.
• Preferred background includes at least 3 years of post-doctoral experience in academic-medical research environments.
• Experience with neuropsychology, aging, neurodegenerative diseases, mental health conditions, TMS, TIS, and structural MRI acquisition, analysis, and interpretation is preferred.

Nice to have

• Signal processing of motor evoked potentials and programming software for cognitive tasks used in MRI research.
• Knowledge of neuroimaging and blood-based biomarkers of neurodegenerative diseases.
• Experience with complex multimodal neuroimaging analyses, including voxel-level mediation analyses.
• Peer-reviewed publications, conference presentations, and experience supporting institutional or foundation grant development.
