Sr. Research Associate, Clinical Biomarker Laboratory (Immunoassays)

Location: Norwood, Massachusetts, United States; 100% onsite. Limited travel to hirify.global's Cambridge, Massachusetts facility may be expected.

Salary: $74,000–$118,400 per year, plus potential discretionary bonus, incentive compensation, or equity.

What you will do

• Develop, optimize, qualify, validate, transfer, and execute cell-based, virus neutralization, functional antibody, and ligand-binding assays.
• Perform clinical sample testing, including sample handling, assay controls, plate maps, worklists, repeat testing, and data traceability.
• Run ELISA, electrochemiluminescence, neutralization, pseudovirus, reporter-based, and other functional antibody assays.
• Maintain mammalian cell culture systems, including cell expansion, passaging, cell banking support, and assay readiness assessment.
• Analyze assay performance and clinical immunogenicity data, investigate variability, troubleshoot issues, and support scientifically sound interpretation.
• Prepare and review protocols, validation plans, reports, batch records, SOPs, controlled documents, and quality metrics in collaboration with laboratory, quality, biostatistics, and external partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences or a related field.
• 2–5 years of relevant clinical laboratory experience in the pharmaceutical industry or a CRO.
• Hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture, cell-based bioassays, immunoassays, and clinical bioanalytical data.
• Experience with regulated data, GxP/GcLP expectations, data integrity principles, SOPs, and quality systems.
• Knowledge of bioanalytical method development and validation, including accuracy, precision, sensitivity, specificity, robustness, cut points or titers, and acceptance criteria.
• Employment is subject to U.S. export-control access requirements; U.S. persons can access controlled information without an export license, while other candidates require applicable licensing.

Nice to have

• Experience with virus or pseudovirus neutralization, reporter-based neutralization, live-virus neutralization, HAI, ELISA, or MSD platforms.
• Experience with critical reagents, reference standards, controls, cell banks, bridging studies, and assay system suitability.
• Experience with LIMS, ELN, LES, RYZE, CDISC standards, data management plans, or data cleaning plans.
• Experience in CAP/CLIA or GLP-regulated laboratories, laboratory management, or digital automation.
