Research Assistant (Psychology)

Location: College Station, Texas, United States; work may include evenings and weekends.

What you will do

• Administer a federally funded study involving mothers, parents, children, and community families.
• Recruit families for human-subject research through mailing, social media, email, and in-person outreach.
• Schedule and staff laboratory visits, collect behavioral, psychophysiological, and survey data, and conduct longitudinal follow-ups.
• Recruit, train, coordinate, and supervise undergraduate research assistants.
• Clean and score behavioral and psychophysiological data and construct datasets for statistical analysis.
• Coordinate data storage and sharing with the principal investigator and manage related administrative duties.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to lift or move medium-weight objects.
• Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and support research activities involving community families.
• Employment is contingent on satisfactory performance, credential verification, and completion of a criminal history check.

Nice to have

• One to two years of human-subject research experience.
• Degree in psychology, neuroscience, human development, or a related field.
• Experience with psychophysiology or research involving young children and parent-child interactions.
• Spanish language fluency, leadership experience, and strong attention to detail.
