Android Team Lead (Kotlin/Jetpack Compose)

What you will do

• Own the technical direction and delivery of client engagements while leading and mentoring Android engineers.
• Design, implement, deliver, and test innovative Android applications using modern mobile engineering practices.
• Build and modernize large-scale consumer banking experiences covering onboarding, account management, and money movement.
• Lead a greenfield initiative developing mobile capabilities for new markets and evolving regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with clients, designers, product owners, users, technologists, and leadership to align technical solutions with business priorities.
• Drive strong architecture, development best practices, CI/CD adoption, and responsible experimentation with new technologies.

Requirements

• 10–12+ years of experience designing and building complex commercial-grade software systems.
• 4+ years of experience leading Agile teams.
• Expert-level experience building production Android applications with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Experience in consumer banking, including account management and onboarding.
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs and third-party libraries, with knowledge of mobile UI/UX principles.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with fraud management, KYC, AML, or regulatory reporting.
• Experience using on-device biometrics for authentication.
• Published applications available through the Google Play Store.
• Computer Science degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, Claude Code, or Copilot.
