Production Engineer (Oil And Gas)

Location: Iraan, Texas; must live within a 30-minute response time to the field in Iraan, Sheffield, McCamey, or Rankin. The role involves 50/50 office and outdoor job-site work, significant travel to field sites, and after-hours, weekend, holiday, and on-call duties.

What you will do

• Provide engineering support for safe, efficient Yates Field production and optimize producing wells, gathering systems, batteries, compression stations, pumping units, and surface equipment.
• Track daily production, troubleshoot operational issues, and identify opportunities to increase oil recovery and reduce operating costs.
• Collaborate on well workover and repair operations and support production and compression projects.
• Support reservoir data collection, reservoir management, and optimization of production and compression facilities.
• Contribute to operating budgets, EHS targets, emergency response drills, technical training, and on-call supervision.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or geosciences.
• 0–3 years of experience in the oil and gas industry.
• Knowledge of basic engineering principles and the ability to perform routine engineering tasks and analyses under direct supervision.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills, initiative, and familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record may be required.
• Ability to live within a 30-minute response time to the field and work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Nice to have

• More than three years of oil and gas industry experience.
• Master of Science degree in engineering or geosciences.
• Professional Engineering license.
