Platform Engineer (Analytics)

Location: Houston, Texas, United States. The role requires regular movement around the office and corporate campus and includes up to 20% domestic travel.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Git workflows, artifact management, Terraform, integrated security controls, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Develop scripting or AI-based automation to improve platform reliability and operational efficiency.
• Support deployments, upgrades, configuration management, and environment maintenance for Denodo, Tableau, and MicroStrategy.
• Troubleshoot compute, storage, networking, load balancers, firewalls, and security groups using logs and metrics to identify root causes.
• Document platform best practices, promote operational standards, and support incident response and problem resolution.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering is preferred.
• 3–4 years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, SRE, or system administration.
• Hands-on exposure to CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps, Git-based source control, Docker, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Knowledge of networking, DNS, routing, firewalls, load balancing, API gateways, monitoring, logging, observability, certificates, TLS, and secrets management.
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP and strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must not require employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.

• Experience supporting or administering Denodo, Tableau, or MicroStrategy.
