Workday Systems Sr. Analyst - Payroll, Benefits, Absence (Location Flexible)

Location: Any of hirify.global's US-based markets; in-person attendance is required when business needs, collaboration, client service, development, or travel warrant it.

Salary: $81,900–$139,700 annually, plus eligibility for a discretionary performance-based bonus.

What you will do

• Research, specify, develop, test, and implement enhancements to Workday Payroll, Absence, and Time Tracking.
• Gather and analyze requirements, perform gap analyses, define acceptance criteria, and design scalable solutions.
• Configure and support Workday functionality in collaboration with IT, HR, Payroll, and business stakeholders.
• Monitor integrations, business processes, and automations; troubleshoot failures and coordinate remediation with internal teams and vendors.
• Support on-cycle and off-cycle payroll processing, time tracking, absence management, testing, and production deployments.
• Provide coaching and training while supporting governance, documentation, testing standards, release management, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Advanced working knowledge of Workday Payroll, Absence, Time Tracking, or another HRIS platform.
• 4+ years of relevant experience, including requirements gathering, business process improvement, configuration, testing, and stakeholder management.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and business requirements translation skills.
• Ability to lead, supervise, direct, and review projects or assignments and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
• Must be available to work within hirify.global's US-based markets and attend in person when business needs require it. Entry-level candidates requiring current or future sponsorship are not eligible.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting Workday payroll processing cycles, pay calculations, retroactive calculations, time tracking operations, absence management, and accruals.
• Experience with Workday testing, configuration, defect remediation, and stakeholder engagement.
