Senior Risk Control Consultant, Construction Safety

Location: Irvine, California, United States; approximately 20%–50% onsite with customers, including possible long-distance and overnight travel.

Annual base salary: $104,000–$171,700, plus eligibility for performance-based cash incentive awards.

What you will do

• Evaluate complex construction accounts, including products liability exposures, multi-location operations, and fleet risks.
• Partner with Underwriting to select, retain, and grow a profitable book of business.
• Conduct all-lines risk assessments, analyze losses, and identify uncontrolled exposures.
• Prepare technically detailed reports with clear risk evaluations and corrective recommendations.
• Provide risk mitigation solutions and support customers in implementing improvements.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in specialty areas and contribute to higher-level projects affecting the Risk Control organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or graduate degree in environmental health and safety, engineering, construction management, basic sciences, or a related technical field.
• Seven years of experience in safety, risk control or management, occupational or environmental health and safety, science, engineering, construction, manufacturing, or relevant military service.
• Advanced knowledge of the insurance industry and strong business acumen.
• Recognized certifications such as ASP, CSP, ARM, or CFPS are relevant.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain certifications required by applicable states.
• Strong written and verbal communication, critical thinking, influencing, negotiation, and collaboration skills.
