Project Manager Medical Communications (Pharma)

Location: Barcelona, Spain; hybrid work

What you will do

• Manage end-to-end delivery of publication and medical education projects, including scope, schedules, milestones, metrics, risks, and issues.
• Coordinate internal and external stakeholder meetings, global publication planning, medical events, advisory boards, and scientific communication activities.
• Support publication submissions, medical-legal-regulatory review, approvals, launches, and compliance workflows using tools such as PromoMats and DAM.
• Manage project budgets, external spend tracking, purchase orders, goods received, and publication open-access charges.
• Maintain integrated scientific communication plans and provide quarterly updates with Publication Leads.
• Lead associate project specialists, project specialists, and associate project managers while collaborating with medical writing and content enhancement teams.

Requirements

• More than 8 years of post-qualification experience.
• University degree, preferably in science; an advanced degree in life sciences, pharmacy, or a similar discipline is desirable.
• Experience in project management, scientific or medical writing and communications, and the pharmaceutical industry.
• Experience with therapeutic areas, domain knowledge, and publication submissions.
• Stakeholder management, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently and within a team.
• Excellent spoken and written English; hands-on MLR experience and familiarity with Veeva PromoMats or similar tools are desirable.
