Temporary Helper, Sample Ops, Secaucus

What you will do

• Fulfill archive requests by staging garments and preparing shipments to corporate offices in New York and New Jersey.
• Receive, process, and organize shipments of corporate product.
• Organize archive inventory by category, season, and year.
• Tag, rehouse, and care for garments across corporate, vintage, and personal collections.
• Photograph garments, upload images to Tory Track, and associate records with style codes.
• Assist with the annual physical audit of the Secaucus archive inventory.

Requirements

• Experience in an archive, sample library, fashion showroom, or related environment; internships are welcome.
• Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail.
• Basic knowledge of garment construction, fabric types, silhouettes, and fashion terminology.
• Familiarity with archival best practices, object handling, cataloging, classification, or inventorying garments and accessories.
• Ability to lift and move boxes and samples weighing up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Strong computer skills and a proactive, collaborative, autonomous working style.

Nice to have

• Experience with Excel, inventory systems, or digital asset platforms.
• Master’s degree in Dress, Costume, Fashion History, Art History, or Decorative Arts.
