Associate Director, Compensation (AI)

Location: Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States; 70% in-office and 30% remote work model

Salary: $142,500–$256,500 per year, with potential eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus, other incentive compensation, or equity awards.

What you will do

• Design, implement, administer, and refine global compensation programs aligned with business and talent strategies.
• Lead market benchmarking and the global pay equity process, including analysis, compliance, and adjustments.
• Advise HR Business Partners and business leaders on job architecture, leveling, promotions, retention, pay increases, and competitive offers.
• Oversee global compensation planning cycles covering salary increases, bonuses, and equity programs.
• Use analytics, AI-enabled tools, and emerging technologies to improve compensation reporting, modeling, decision support, and operational efficiency.
• Manage compensation vendors, prepare compensation committee materials, and partner with Legal on regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 8 years of relevant compensation experience.
• Full professional proficiency in English, written and spoken.
• Strong knowledge of compensation planning, benchmarking, policy execution, job architecture, and compensation documentation.
• Experience advising HR and business stakeholders on compensation decisions and coordinating cross-functional projects.
• Proficiency with spreadsheets and reporting tools, plus the ability to use analytics and AI-enabled tools to generate insights and improve processes.
