What you will do

• Develop embedded software for Medtronic medical products as part of a project team.
• Provide technical solutions and alternatives for software problems of varying complexity.
• Provide input to software architecture and implement software according to defined development procedures.
• Develop software specifications from high-level requirements and translate them into controlled software designs.
• Participate in requirements, design, and code reviews.
• Verify designs and actively participate in software validation activities.

Requirements

• More than 5 and fewer than 10 years of experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely related field.
• Strong knowledge of embedded software systems and software engineering life-cycle processes.
• Programming skills in C and C++.
• Ability to apply object-oriented methodology, standards, principles, theories, and software development techniques.
• Ability to use abstract and creative thinking to solve software problems and collaborate on integrated solutions.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of UML modeling.
• Experience with real-time applications.
• Medical instrument development experience.
• Advanced degree in a related technical field.
