Applications Engineering Manager II (Embedded Linux/Wi-Fi)

What you will do

• Design and develop Wi-Fi software features for Comcast Wi-Fi gateway products.
• Work with vendors to integrate Wi-Fi chipset solutions.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver customer-facing Wi-Fi features.
• Optimize Wi-Fi performance.
• Provide technical assistance and troubleshoot customer issues.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience delivering Wi-Fi switch products.
• Experience developing and debugging Wi-Fi software at L1/L2 layers.
• Knowledge of IEEE 802.11/Wi-Fi protocols, including WPA, RADIUS, WPS, 802.11n, and 802.11ac.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP internals and DHCP, DNS, and HTTP; hands-on VPN experience.
• Expertise in C and embedded Linux, plus a bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or electrical engineering.

Nice to have

• Experience with Wi-Fi solution or chipset vendors.
• Wi-Fi driver development experience.
• 7+ years of software development experience, preferably with C/C++.
• Experience with Yocto and a relevant master's degree.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
