Senior Linux Engineer (Linux/VMware): Managing and supporting a client’s virtual environment with an accent on Linux administration, VMware virtualization, and production operations. Focus on maintaining the full Linux stack, supporting predominantly VMware-based infrastructure, and addressing the client’s transition away from Hyper-V.
Location: Detroit, MI, United States; some travel may be required.

is staffing a contract role for a direct client supporting an end client’s virtual environment.
What you will do
- Manage and support the client’s virtual environment.
- Administer a predominantly VMware-based infrastructure.
- Apply strong Linux expertise across the full Linux stack.
- Support production-related environments.
- Provide knowledge of Hyper-V during the client’s transition away from that platform.
- Travel when required, with travel expenses covered.
Requirements
- Strong professional Linux experience.
- Proficiency with the full Linux stack.
- Experience supporting production-related environments.
- Hands-on experience with VMware virtualized environments.
- Some knowledge of Hyper-V.
