Focus on troubleshooting complex production issues, coordinating vendor releases, managing change processes, and providing on-call support.
Location: Downey, California, United States; onsite at a Southern California pharmacy automated warehouse
Contract position with a 12+ month duration and potential conversion to hire.

What you will do
- Provide production and project support for a fast-paced 24x7 automated prescription fulfillment environment.
- Analyze applications, troubleshoot incidents, and create fault-tolerant, step-restartable, and reusable Unix facilities.
- Develop and maintain Unix shell scripts using C shell and Korn shell.
- Set up Connect:Direct, XCOM, and FTP file-transfer processes across different platforms.
- Coordinate software releases, vendor changes, testing, change management, and production deployment.
- Act as a business and client liaison by documenting requirements and translating them into technical requirements for vendors.
Requirements
- 6–10 years of experience in production support or a related technical role.
- Experience with Unix, Linux, Wintel, batch processing, FTP, SQL, and Oracle SQL reporting.
- Strong C shell, Korn shell, AWK, and SED scripting skills.
- Knowledge of AutoSys scheduling, including complex scheduling and ad-hoc reporting from AutoSys databases.
- Understanding of security and control concepts, mainframe dataset allocation, and ACF2 security.
- Ability to provide second-level technical support, coordinate interdisciplinary groups, and work with clients and vendors; major development work is not required.
