What you will do
- Deploy releases of new technologies and design, install, configure, and maintain PC and server operating systems.
- Perform system integration testing for operating systems, utilities, and hardware.
- Troubleshoot server problems reported by users.
- Research, evaluate, and recommend software and hardware products.
- Support web access and electronic messaging services while maintaining a secure systems environment.
- Specify, install, and maintain new servers and the broader server infrastructure.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 3–5 years of IT work experience.
- High-level expertise across multiple system environments.
- Linux administration experience, preferably with CentOS or RHEL.
- Experience with VMware, Cobbler, hardware, and break/fix support.
- Solid communication skills and the ability to work both independently and in a team.
Nice to have
- Experience with data center moves or migrations.
