Materials Supervisor (Manufacturing)

Location: Spartanburg, South Carolina, United States. Onsite plant role on 2nd shift, generally 2:00 pm–10:30 pm EST, with start and end times varying based on overtime needs.

Pay range: $73,200.00–$117,800.00 per year.

What you will do

• Lead one or two materials areas, owning safety, productivity, efficiency, transaction accuracy, and inventory accuracy.
• Lead materials process activities for production team members in union and non-union environments and troubleshoot daily issues.
• Plan, develop, and implement inventory control and material flow processes across the plant and offsite warehousing.
• Evaluate and improve processes for receiving, storing, picking, and presenting materials.
• Review shortages caused by inventory errors, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Operations, Finance, Safety, and Quality while developing technology-enabled materials processes.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and four or more years of manufacturing experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to provide coaching, performance feedback, and appraisals to materials team members.
• Ability to enforce quality, safety, 5S, and ISO-compliant procedures.
• Ability to analyze inventory issues, perform corrective-action work, and manage high-volume, variable demands.
• Ability to work routine second-shift hours, with occasional overtime, weekends, or shift rotation.
