Structural Engineering Specialist (Water Infrastructure)

Location: Full-time work from hirify.global locations in Austin, Dallas, Houston, or Oklahoma City, Texas/Oklahoma; limited travel and field work required.

Salary: $75,656.68–$86,464.77 per year

What you will do

• Perform structural design and analysis calculations using governing codes, standards, engineering formulas, and professional judgment.
• Develop structural engineering plans, layouts, drawings, sketches, load combinations, and design documents.
• Research design options, review shop drawings, and coordinate information for structure manufacturers and drafters.
• Participate in project meetings and communicate progress and technical issues with the design team.
• Observe construction progress and existing field conditions during site activities.
• Calculate structural quantities and support cost estimating through take-offs and vendor quotes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Successful completion of the FE exam and EIT status.
• Proficiency with finite element modeling and engineering software, including STAAD.PRO, SAP2000, RISA 3D, SPCOLUMN, LPILE, HILTI, and Autodesk Civil 3D.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Eligible for employment in the United States, with a valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to complete periodic drug screenings and a background check.
