Head-Systems Product Engineer II (Military Protection)

Location: Montréal, Quebec, Canada; onsite product development role

What you will do

• Lead the development and continuous improvement of helmets and integrated head protection systems from concept through manufacturing and ongoing product support.
• Manage product configurations, bills of materials, technical data packages, specifications, validation plans, and customer documentation.
• Lead cross-functional technical project teams and coordinate schedules, costs, risks, design issues, and deliverables.
• Serve as the primary technical contact for internal stakeholders, customers, suppliers, marketing, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams.
• Support new product introduction, prototype development and testing, design-for-manufacturing, design-to-cost, supplier selection, and continuous improvement.
• Contribute to technical proposals, quotations, white papers, customer presentations, and product roadmap planning.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 7 years of experience in product development or a related engineering role.
• Experience in defense or military product development, tactical communications, design-to-cost methodologies, electrical sub-components, or military standards.
• Knowledge of product development processes, engineering documentation, project management principles, QMS, ISO standards, and military specifications.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications, use laboratory equipment such as digital voltmeters and oscilloscopes, and build and test prototypes.
• English is required for communication with colleagues, customers, suppliers, and partners outside Quebec and for using English-language documents and tools.
