Electrical Product Engineer II (Defense): Developing and managing power and data management systems and integrated helmet systems for military markets with an accent on product lifecycle management, electrical subsystem validation, and manufacturing integration. Focus on leading cross-functional development teams, assessing reliability and technical risk, and managing product configuration, BOMs, technical documentation, and design-for-manufacturing activities.
Location: Montréal, Quebec, Canada; frequent travel exceeding 40% between company sites and suppliers, including international travel.

What you will do
- Develop and manage Nervcentr power and data systems and Cortex integrated helmet systems throughout their product lifecycle.
- Lead cross-functional product development teams covering engineering, industrial design, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and customer stakeholders.
- Own roadmap implementation for at least one product line, including configuration management, technical data packages, product specifications, and BOMs.
- Create and review testing and validation plans, assess reliability, safety, performance, and technical risks, and support prototype development.
- Plan development activities, timelines, cost estimates, Stage Gate deliverables, Design-to-Cost, and Design for Manufacturability initiatives.
- Support new product introduction and ongoing manufacturing, while serving as the technical contact for customers, suppliers, RFPs, RFQs, and white papers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or equivalent education and experience.
- At least 7 years of experience in product development or a related engineering role.
- Experience in at least one of defense product development, tactical communications, Design-to-Cost, electrical sub-components, or military standards.
- Ability to read technical drawings and specifications; knowledge of QMS, ISO, industry standards, military standards, and related procedures.
- Practical experience with laboratory equipment, digital voltmeters, oscilloscopes, and building, testing, and debugging prototype electrical subsystems.
- English is required for communication with colleagues, customers, suppliers, and partners outside Quebec and for using English-language documentation and tools.
