Airport Services - Site Manager - DJT Airport (Baggage Handling Systems)

Location: West Palm Beach, Florida, United States; onsite at an active airport, including baggage conveyor systems, ramps, vehicles, aircraft, outdoor areas, and confined spaces.

Pay range: $82,900–$134,300 per year.

What you will do

• Lead all Baggage Handling System operations and oversee technicians, electricians, and support staff.
• Manage airport authority relationships and serve as the primary customer contact.
• Oversee payroll, invoicing, billable labor, parts tracking, and monthly financial reporting.
• Maintain system uptime by directing repairs, replacements, temporary fixes, and emergency responses.
• Manage inventory, cycle counts, CMMS reconciliation, and parts ordering for preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Coordinate schedules, labor utilization, contract requirements, safety compliance, documentation, and team development.

Requirements

• Direct Baggage Handling System experience is required.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent and a valid driver’s license.
• Ten years of supervisory or managerial experience at a large hub airport.
• Experience managing customer relationships in a demanding, service-driven environment.
• Experience with payroll, invoicing, and operational reporting.
• Ability to obtain the necessary airport security clearance. Must be able to lift and move up to 49 pounds and work in physically demanding airport environments.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience with maintenance operations, inventory management, parts tracking, and CMMS systems.
• Strong technical troubleshooting, decision-making, communication, and team development skills.
