Yard Supervisor (Automotive)

Location: Raleigh, NC, United States; onsite yard work required

Salary: $48,000–$55,000 per year

What you will do

• Supervise a large team and maintain a safe, efficient work environment.
• Monitor vehicle and parts inventory, yard infrastructure, fencing, and facility presentation.
• Prepare and preserve vehicles for auctions through cleaning, detailing, shrink wrapping, and related enhancements.
• Train and monitor staff performance to meet service-level agreements and customer expectations.
• Respond to customer inquiries about vehicle locations, condition, damage, and belongings.
• Recommend or perform personnel actions, including hiring, reviews, disciplinary action, and salary increases.

Requirements

• Must be legally entitled to work in the United States.
• At least two years of leadership experience and strong supervisory skills.
• Basic automotive repair and general mechanical knowledge of vehicles.
• Proficiency with handheld PDAs and basic forklift or loader operation.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors year-round, climb on and off large equipment and trucks, and perform prolonged standing, walking, stooping, and bending.
• Ability to recognize hazards, use personal protective equipment, follow safety procedures, and handle hazardous materials according to applicable regulations.
