Head of Accounting - USDS

Location: San Jose, United States; fully in-person schedule up to 5 days a week

Salary: $129,000–$307,200 annually, plus potential discretionary bonuses, incentives, and restricted stock units.

What you will do

• Oversee daily accounting operations across USDS joint venture entities.
• Lead the accounting team through month-end close and quarterly reporting.
• Evaluate complex business transactions under US GAAP and IFRS, including revenue-related accounting.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors and support the resolution of audit issues.
• Maintain accounting policies, assess new accounting standards, and operationalize required changes.
• Partner with FP&A, tax, related-party accounting, engineering, and other teams on controls, automation, system improvements, and special projects.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Active CPA certification.
• 15 years of experience in financial statement auditing, financial accounting, or similar work.
• Experience in the Technology, Media, and Telecommunications industry.
• Analytical skills with datasets and experience using Excel.
• Experience working with business partners and engineers and redesigning processes to meet business needs.

Nice to have

• Strong knowledge of financial reporting under US GAAP and IFRS.
• Basic knowledge of tax provision.
• System implementation experience.
