Pediatric Oncology Nurse I: Infusion Center | Transition Team

Location: Memphis, Tennessee, United States; onsite outpatient department role, 36 hours per week. Day shift from 10:00 to 22:30 Monday through Friday, with rotating weekend and holiday requirements.

Salary: $31.50–$55.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Provide outpatient infusion care, including chemotherapy and blood products.
• Deliver acute care to pediatric patients requiring immediate attention after hours.
• Perform pediatric assessments, pain assessments, and age-specific evaluation of patient data.
• Respond to patient queries, coordinate care, and ensure seamless hand-offs between patient care teams.
• Escalate patient needs and provide education and support across age groups.
• Apply clinical nursing, ethical, legal, and safety standards under appropriate supervision.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
• Current Tennessee nursing license required for residents of Tennessee or non-compact states; compact-state residents must hold a current license in their primary state of residence.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• No prior nursing experience required.
• Foundational clinical nursing, critical thinking, pediatric assessment, pain assessment, interpersonal, and patient education skills.
• Ability to provide age-appropriate care and comply with applicable nursing regulations and standards.

Nice to have

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Familiarity with research protocols and clinical trials.
• Certified Pediatric Hematology Oncology Nurse (CPHON) certification.
• Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification.
