TL;DR
Maintenance Technician (Terminal Equipment): Maintaining, calibrating, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment used to move and store products at a terminal with an accent on pumps, valves, tanks, conveyors, environmental controls, and heavy equipment. Focus on diagnosing equipment issues, completing inspections and maintenance records, and supporting safe terminal operations in indoor and outdoor conditions.

What you will do

  • Install, maintain, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair terminal equipment including valves, gauges, meters, tanks, pumps, boilers, heat exchangers, and compressors.
  • Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on dry bulk conveyors, dust collection systems, environmental control equipment, track mobiles, loaders, trucks, and telehandlers.
  • Conduct visual inspections of tanks and equipment and complete handwritten or electronic maintenance reports and daily logs.
  • Use computer systems for communications, training, maintenance tracking, inventory, and repair work orders.
  • Coordinate with Operations to minimize operational impacts and monitor third-party work on company property.
  • Follow safety rules and attend assigned operations and safety training.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Two-year degree or technical school qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Corrosion, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • At least one year of maintenance work experience or apprenticeship in a relevant core discipline.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to obtain and maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) under USCG/DHS regulations.
  • Basic computer skills, good oral and written communication, and ability to lift or move up to 100 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to work onsite in Charleston and perform indoor and outdoor duties in all weather conditions.
