Location: Annapolis Junction, Maryland, United States; on-site. Telework is eligible, subject to position requirements. United States citizenship and an appropriate security clearance are required.

What you will do

• Design, create, test, productize, and improve AI/ML algorithms and models.
• Select datasets, perform statistical analysis, and apply machine learning algorithms to business and customer requirements.
• Train, retrain, deploy, schedule, monitor, and optimize models using iterative user and system feedback.
• Transform data science prototypes into scalable solutions and verify data and model output quality.
• Provide AI/ML system integration oversight and lead iterative testing, evaluation, verification, and validation activities.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for AI-related matters and potentially lead geographically diverse teams.

Requirements

• United States citizenship and TS/SCI clearance with an agency-appropriate polygraph are required.
• Five years of applied machine learning experience in programs or contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Master’s or Ph.D. in advanced mathematics, artificial intelligence, data science, computer science, or deep learning.
• Five additional years of machine learning experience with a relevant bachelor’s degree may substitute for a master’s degree.
• Experience with standard machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Knowledge of software architecture, data modeling, data structures, application development, infrastructure management, and data governance.
