Registered Nurse - General Pediatrics (Pediatrics)

Salary: $43.01–$70.95 per hour

What you will do

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized, age-appropriate care for pediatric patients.
• Provide nursing treatments, procedures, medication administration, health education, and clinical support throughout admission and discharge.
• Coordinate care plans and discharge planning with patients, families, nurses, physicians, case managers, and other disciplines.
• Document care, patient responses, outcomes, and care-plan changes in accordance with hospital and regulatory requirements.
• Advocate for patients and families while supporting culturally sensitive, collaborative care.
• Participate in patient safety, quality improvement, data evaluation, and professional development activities.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license; current Massachusetts nursing practice requirements apply.
• Basic Life Support certification required.
• Relevant certifications such as ACLS or PALS may be required based on the department and care provided.
• Ability to provide age-specific care, interpret clinical data, and communicate appropriately with pediatric patients and families.
• Ability to work irregular hours and handle prolonged standing, patient transfers, emergencies, and exposure to clinical hazards.

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
