Field Service Technician (Welding)

Location: Richland, Mississippi, United States; field assignments at power plants and industrial sites across the U.S. with 75% travel required.

What you will do

• Coordinate tools, materials, and equipment for field jobsites.
• Work with customers and subcontractors on-site and represent hirify.global professionally.
• Complete safety processes, including Job Safety Analyses before work begins.
• Conduct welding inspections, repairs, troubleshooting, welding, and fabrication.
• Provide project managers with daily progress, issue, scope, and timeline updates.
• Submit accurate field documentation, receipts, and cost reports.

Requirements

• Experience in construction environments, field service, crew coordination, or field supervision.
• Ability to read blueprints, tape measurements, and fabrication drawings.
• Willingness and ability to travel 75% of the time, including overnight stays, extended assignments, emergency work, and short-notice travel.
• OSHA 30 training is required; forklift or man-lift operator training certification is required.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record is required.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather, stand, walk, kneel, climb, and regularly lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice to have

• AWS 6G MIG aluminum welding certification.
