Intern/Co-op - Refining Electrical Engineering (Fall 2027)

Location: Findlay, Ohio, United States; additional positions are available at refinery locations across the United States.

Salary: $32.92–$41.67 per hour.

What you will do

• Support electrical and instrumentation projects through scope alignment, cost and schedule development, engineering phases, and teamwork.
• Troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation issues and analyze equipment failures.
• Develop solutions for recurring equipment problems, submit Project Request Forms, and support maintenance strategies.
• Use electrical analysis software for coordination issues and Arc Flash studies and learn how safety instrumented systems are applied.
• Support refinery process control systems through troubleshooting, programming, lifecycle replacement projects, and performance monitoring.
• Install and troubleshoot communication networks supporting control systems and refinery operations.

Requirements

• Major in Electrical Engineering and concurrent enrollment in a degree-seeking program.
• Strong academic performance.
• Authorization to work full time and indefinitely in the United States without employment visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• Valid driver's license.
• Availability for multiple work terms is preferred; positions are available in spring, summer, and fall semesters.
