Trim Associate

Location: New York, NY; regular visits to Midtown factories may be required

Salary: $65,000–$70,000 base salary per year, plus benefits, short-term incentive program, clothing allowance, and merchandise discounts.

What you will do

• Issue and track trim purchase orders for production and development, monitoring confirmations, pricing, lead times, and delivery dates.
• Track domestic and overseas shipments, follow up on delays, and flag delivery risks against the production calendar.
• Coordinate receiving with factories, reconcile quantities and documentation, and resolve shortages, overages, and supplier discrepancies.
• Manage trim and repair-trim inventory, initiate replenishment orders, and conduct inventory audits.
• Inspect, label, sort, and prepare incoming and outgoing trim packages, sample kits, and sample boards.
• Maintain purchase order, approval, development, and PLM records while supporting invoice reconciliation and pre-production testing.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of experience in apparel production, purchasing, supply chain, or raw materials.
• Working knowledge of the purchase order lifecycle, including placement, delivery tracking, receiving, and reconciliation.
• Proficiency in Excel and Outlook.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, follow-through, and professional communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with suppliers, factories, and cross-functional partners in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to regularly lift or carry up to 30 pounds.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of trims or inventory management.
• Experience with PLM systems such as VibeIQ or similar.
