TL;DR

Location: Houston, Texas, United States

Salary: USD $27–$35 per hour, plus potential participation in an annual discretionary bonus program.

What you will do

  • Manage right-of-way databases, land files, data inputs, exports, reports, and document generation across multiple projects.
  • Assemble and maintain tract files, acquisition packages, landowner documents, and project records.
  • Review executed documents, notarizations, payments, easements, damages, releases, subordinations, and supporting forms for accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare ownership, survey permission, construction line, and restriction reports.
  • Record approved documents with the appropriate county and coordinate the transfer of original and hardcopy files at project completion.
  • Support land managers, project personnel, and the wider land management team with administrative and reporting needs.

Requirements

  • Multiple years of experience as a document specialist, including right-of-way title experience or the ability to read and understand title documents.
  • Strong knowledge of land descriptions, easements, conveyance documents, and right-of-way terminology.
  • Advanced experience with databases, spreadsheets, word processing, and document generation; experience in a multistate project environment is preferred.
  • Excellent organization, attention to detail, written and oral communication, initiative, and ability to manage changing priorities under time pressure.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to lift or move up to 35 pounds and perform required sitting, standing, walking, reaching, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor’s degree in a real-property-related field.
  • Training from an authorized real estate company or IRWA courses.
  • Paralegal certification or previous supervisory experience.
