Location: Remote within Tennessee, with travel to the Memphis campus for the interview process and/or orientation and one week per quarter, or as requested based on business needs.

Salary: $70,720–$126,880 per year.

What you will do

  • Support legal operations and the legal function for the Department of Global Pediatric Medicine.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate simple contracts and amendments while collaborating with departments, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Organize and maintain agreements in the contract lifecycle management system and support related training.
  • Prepare and maintain templates, policies, standard operating procedures, reports, dashboards, graphs, and presentations.
  • Monitor legal, risk, governance, and compliance matters, including investigations and corrective actions.
  • Conduct legal research and risk assessments and present practical solutions to legal and risk-management issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Health Care Administration, Paralegal Studies, or a related field.
  • At least 4 years of legal assistant, paralegal, or related experience; a Juris Doctorate with at least 1 year of experience, including internships, may qualify.
  • Knowledge of legal terminology and federal and state healthcare statutes and reporting requirements.
  • Ability to perform legal research, contract analysis, document preparation, risk assessment, and regulatory interpretation.
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, problem-solving, communication, and deadline-management skills.
  • Remote employees must comply with required travel to Memphis and periodic on-site work.

Nice to have

  • Significant contract lifecycle management experience.
  • Experience in an academic or healthcare setting.
  • Juris Doctorate degree.
