Medical Assistant (Radiation Oncology) (Radiation Oncology): Supporting radiation oncology care across Boulder and Thornton by preparing patients, assisting with examinations and procedures, collecting specimens, and coordinating records and appointments with an accent on direct patient care, clinical support, and treatment-room readiness. Focus on administering injections, maintaining disinfection protocols, obtaining accurate patient data, and supporting physicians and nurses in an oncology clinic environment.
Location: Four days per week in Boulder, Colorado, and one day per week in Thornton, Colorado.
Salary: $18.00–$26.00 per hour, based on education, experience, certification, and other factors.

What you will do
- Escort patients between exam rooms, physician offices, and treatment rooms.
- Record vital signs, height, weight, allergies, medication changes, and other patient data before physician visits.
- Obtain patient records, test results, imaging, and treatment consents.
- Prepare and stock exam and treatment rooms, order supplies, and maintain disinfection protocols.
- Assist physicians with examinations and procedures, provide delegated patient education, collect blood specimens, and administer subcutaneous and intramuscular injections.
- Handle patient calls, prescription requests, test and procedure scheduling, hospital admissions, and follow-up appointments.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certificate of graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- At least two years of experience as a medical assistant or nursing assistant in a hospital or clinic setting.
- Current CPR certification.
- Ability to lift and assist patients, stand and walk for extended periods, and occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.
- Successful completion of a background check and non-federal drug test, excluding marijuana, before hire.
