Medical Assistant (Radiation Oncology)

Location: Four days per week in Boulder, Colorado, and one day per week in Thornton, Colorado.

Salary: $18.00–$26.00 per hour, based on education, experience, certification, and other factors.

What you will do

• Escort patients between exam rooms, physician offices, and treatment rooms.
• Record vital signs, height, weight, allergies, medication changes, and other patient data before physician visits.
• Obtain patient records, test results, imaging, and treatment consents.
• Prepare and stock exam and treatment rooms, order supplies, and maintain disinfection protocols.
• Assist physicians with examinations and procedures, provide delegated patient education, collect blood specimens, and administer subcutaneous and intramuscular injections.
• Handle patient calls, prescription requests, test and procedure scheduling, hospital admissions, and follow-up appointments.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certificate of graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• At least two years of experience as a medical assistant or nursing assistant in a hospital or clinic setting.
• Current CPR certification.
• Ability to lift and assist patients, stand and walk for extended periods, and occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.
• Successful completion of a background check and non-federal drug test, excluding marijuana, before hire.
