Salary: $235,000–$260,000 per year

What you will do

  • Advise public and private employers on employee benefits and ERISA matters.
  • Support qualified retirement plan administration and governance, including 401(k) and defined benefit plans.
  • Advise on health and welfare plan design, implementation, compliance, fiduciary duties, and prohibited transactions.
  • Handle IRS and DOL audits and investigations, EPCRS submissions, Form 5500 reporting, and related compliance obligations.
  • Review vendor agreements and transaction-related benefits issues.
  • Collaborate with attorneys across the firm and communicate with clients on sophisticated transactions.

Requirements

  • 2–3 years of relevant experience.
  • Juris Doctor or foreign equivalent; an LLM may be considered in lieu of a JD.
  • Prior or current experience at an Am Law 100 firm.
  • Excellent academic credentials, analytical, research, and legal writing skills.
  • Admission to and good standing with the bar in the jurisdiction or jurisdictions where you will practice.
  • Strong understanding of professional ethics and legal conduct requirements.
