Registered Nurse, RN - Mother Infant Unit

Location: MelroseWakefield Hospital, Massachusetts; onsite, part-time night shift from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., 24 hours per week.

Pay range: $37.50–$68.47 per hour.

What you will do

• Provide direct professional nursing care to patients and their families according to established policies, procedures, physician orders, and plans of care.
• Conduct and document clinical assessments and develop, implement, evaluate, and revise individualized care plans.
• Use nursing judgment to address patient needs, manage assignments, and delegate care based on team members’ skills.
• Develop patient and family education plans and comprehensive discharge plans using appropriate referrals and community resources.
• Support performance improvement, evidence-based practice, research integration, and departmental committees.
• Precept and support new staff members while contributing to their professional development.

Requirements

• Massachusetts RN license required.
• Current Basic Life Support certification required.
• At least one year of RN experience required; experience requirements vary by Career Direct Care Pathway level.
• Department-specific certifications relevant to the patient population may be required.
• Knowledge of the nursing process and the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and the healthcare team.
• Ability to lift and turn patients occasionally, stand and walk for prolonged periods, and work around infectious disease, blood-borne pathogens, and chemicals.
