WGL - Supervisor Field Operations (Natural Gas)

Location: Hyattsville, Maryland, United States. On-site field operations role with 6:00 AM–2:00 PM or 10:00 AM–6:00 PM scheduling, 24/7 emergency-response availability, and on-call rotations.

Salary: $103,500–$150,750 per year, commensurate with experience, education, and skills.

What you will do

• Supervise hirify.global employees and contractors performing infrastructure maintenance and field operations.
• Oversee the safe operation, maintenance, and tie-in of gas mains and emergency response for an assigned pipeline region.
• Lead crew assignments for leak repairs and other pipeline infrastructure work.
• Coordinate immediate and emergency field response activities to protect customers, the public, and employees.
• Manage staffing, training, performance, coaching, and employee development.
• Ensure projects meet budget, regulatory, safety, and business objectives.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• 5+ years of related experience, preferably in natural gas, appliance service, gas piping, HVAC, or construction.
• Valid driver's license and successful completion of gas odor recognition testing required.
• Working knowledge of pipeline construction, replacement, operations, maintenance, emergency response, and applicable federal, state, and local codes.
• Knowledge of gas distribution, appliance diagnostics and repair, HVAC, pipe work, electrical wiring and controls, venting, and gas equipment.
• Leadership, planning, scheduling, communication, relationship-building, analytical, and problem-solving skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office.
