Technical Support Engineer - Automotive Sector

Location: Dagneux or Les Avenières, France; another European location or remote within Europe. Travel across Europe is required for up to 50% of the time, predominantly to Germany and northern Italy.

What you will do

• Provide technical support to automotive customers in central Europe and resolve product performance and application issues.
• Plan, conduct, document, and evaluate tests in production sites, technical centers, and laboratories.
• Lead and participate in application technology and product development projects, including documentation and reporting.
• Coordinate product qualifications with selected customers and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Characterize development materials and competitor products to support product improvement.
• Compile and verify technical data for product datasheets and apply composite design approaches to automotive applications.

Requirements

• Degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant automotive-sector experience in technical support and product development.
• Strong competence in plastics, composites, and production and processing technologies.
• Experience with composite materials and manufacturing processes in an automotive environment.
• Good understanding of design models and methodologies for structural composite automotive parts.
• Fluent English is required. Strong collaboration, communication, flexibility, and adaptability are also expected.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in French or another additional language.
