Accountant, Financial Shared Services (SAP/AI)

What you will do

• Prepare and post journal entries for accruals, prepaids, reclassifications, and other monthly close activities.
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and resolve open or reconciling items.
• Support accounting across cash, debt and interest, intercompany transactions, fixed assets, product costing, and lease accounting under ASC 842.
• Maintain supporting documentation, accounting procedures, policies, and internal control records.
• Assist with financial reporting packages, variance analysis, management reporting, and audit requests.
• Use AI tools to identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and reduce manual effort.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 0–2 years of accounting experience; recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Basic understanding of U.S. GAAP and general accounting principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and basic formulas.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, prioritization, and written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work on-site or in a hybrid arrangement in Columbus, Ohio.

Nice to have

• Experience with SAP and BlackLine.
• Familiarity with AI tools.
• CPA candidacy or intent to pursue CPA certification.
